Research And Planning - Introduction

My group researched multiple different TV teen dramas, however the key drama being: Waterloo road, of which we studied and began to break down the story line, A common theme that I found was that bullying or 'interrogating' of students, to build a popular group of people, that people try to be apart of creating friendship, Throughout the majority of the seasons there is usually one or two protagonists which are the people who are at the top of popularity of the group.

Teen Dramas use a very diverse vareiaty of characters whether the characters are of different ethnicity have different beliefs or are from different places in the country (accent changes etc).

      Give some more information about Alecky Road.

      For both, do some more research on the key codes and conventions and explain what these are.

Deciding On Sub-Genre

My project partner and I sat down and talked about main horror sub categories, we came up with three and narrowed it down to one, of which suited us best. Paranormal: The biggest strength about this sub category would be that it is the most popular globally, examples of paranormal film include: The paranormal activity series, The conjuring/Annabelle series. They are all rated highly as horror films, showing success. Also very few actors are needed making the shoots convenient, usually paranormal films are addressed around a backstory and a new family being introduced all to find out they're being haunted. The only disadvantage we found with this subcategory is that the editing phase would be very difficult, however we feel that we can succeed with it.
